Robin Kermode trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama.



On television, he is well known for comedy with series of NEVER THE TWAIN, FFIZZ, FRENCH FIELDS, MEN BEHAVING BADLY and BIRDS OF A FEATHER. Other television includes Sgt. Vine in Ruth Rendell’s INSPECTOR WEXFORD series, THE LINE OF BEAUTY, WALL OF SILENCE, DERAILED, JONATHAN CREEK, COUPLING, EASTENDERS, EMMERDALE, MIKE BASSETT, ZEEBRUGGEE, ANGEL CAKE, INSPECTOR LYNLEY, HARLEY STREET, MILE HIGH, THE LAVENDER LIST, GHOSTHUNTER, MIT, DOCTORS, SHROUD FOR A NIGHTINGALE, THE AGATHA CHRISTIE HOUR, BOON, CATS EYES, PIE IN THE SKY, AN INDEPENDENT MAN, CROWN COURT and Florizel in Shakespeare’s THE WINTERS TALE.


His films include WILDE, JULIE AND THE CADILLACS and SHINER.


Robin has recorded plays for BBC Radio 4 and regularly narrates documentaries (recently 26 episodes of ANIMAL SOS for Carlton TV). He is also a well-known ‘voice’ on TV and radio commercials.


London theatre includes Leontes in THE WINTER’S TALE (Time Out Critics Choice Award), Sir Edward Ramsey in THE KING AND I, Algernon in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and Trevor in FUNNY PECULIAR. Repertory theatre includes seasons at Oxford, Salisbury, Southampton, Watford, Windsor, Dundee, Farnham and the Orange Tree, Richmond. He has toured extensively in the UK and in the Middle and Far East. His favourite parts include Norman in THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, Marlowe in SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER and Charles in BLITHE SPIRIT.
